Chairman Ross Clifton took his team of 7 Rinks to Sevenoaks B.C. last Thursday to play Kent, Home Counties Champions of 2016 .

The weather was fine with high cloud which made for a pleasant afternoon, however, the green did not appear to suit the visitors who came up against a strong Kent side who proceeded to take the Home Counties apart, winning on all 7 Rinks for a 166 to 96 shots victory.

HCBA Chairman Ross Clifton and his executive rink suffered the most, at the hands of Kent County President Geoff Chapman and his rink who were determined to ensure a home success with their 32-2 win.

The closest games for the HCBA side saw Surrey miss out by only two shots, The Royal County of Berkshire by three and Oxfordshire by four.

The rink scores were:

Rink 1. Middlesex 10 - 28
Rink 2. R.C. Berkshire 19 - 22
Rink 3. Surrey 20 - 22
Rink 4. Oxfordshire 18 – 22
Rink 5. H.C. Chairman 2 – 32
Rink 6. Buckinghamshire 14 – 22
Rink 7. Sussex 13 - 18
