Last Wednesday saw the annual fixture between the HCBA and the Midland Counties BA, take place at Chesham BC.
Despite modern day communications the Midland Counties arrived with only three representative rinks, from Derbyshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
Surrey dropped out on the morning of the match, which as it turned out, made organising a game easier.
Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Sussex played against the three Midland Counties rinks and a 25-10 victory to the Berkshire rink of John Stenson, Graham Rogers, Jim Turner and HCBA Chairman Richard Heathman was sufficient to give the HCBA a 66-59 shot win.
In their 'friendly' game, the Middlesex rink won 25 shots to 14 against Buckinghamshire.
Thanks once again to the Chesham club for their understanding, use of their facilities and first class catering.
